This program was written for a client with outside salesmen who used Outlook as their primary application for appointments and contact information. They collected a great deal of information which was important to the company but it was only on the salesman's laptop. This program was installed on the salesman's laptop along with a another program which emailed the data to home office every night. At the home office, the contact information from all salesman was merged with the companies master contacts database which is used by all employees.
This approach for collecting information allowed us to integrate contact information from several sources even though they did not have similar content. Contact information was collected from accounting, estimating, sales, administration and purchasing departments using only the information relevant to general contact information.
We have developed a program to collect Outlook 2007© email information with one click. It allows management to store emails in a central database for legal storage requirements. We are keeping every email field, even fields that normal user does not know is there. The program saves the email attachments in a sub-folder and allows user to browse a list of attachments and click on the one they want to open. The email fields and attachment names are stored in an embedded Access© database. If you use Outlook 2007, this program is a must try! Outlook data is never changed or deleted by this program.
Outlook 2007 has about 65 usable fields for contacts. Our utility captures all of them and presents them to you in a easy to read Windows Form (see below). The information in Outlook is not altered at any time.

Our program, Contacts Database, installs into folder C:\Program Files\Small b Systems\Contacts Database\ and C:\OutLookDB\ where Outlook2007Contacts.mdb database is created to hold the contacts extracted from Outlook 2007. This is an Microsoft Access© 2000 database which can be read by Microsoft Office Access©, Excel©, Word© and Microsoft SQL Server© to name only a few. The program has it's own uninstall program.
